Infant Care

Ages 6 weeks to 16 months

The focus of this curriculum is to build a responsive relationship with the caregiver/teacher, the child, and their families. The caregiver/teacher creates an environment that offers a variety of experiences that interest and engages children which helps them to grow and learn.

 

Infant Staff
Teacher to child ratio is 1:4

 

Learning Environment

  • Small separated age groups to encourage age appropriate activities for each child

  • Infant sign language used daily

  • Individualized goals set for each child

  • Parents decide daily schedule for their children and can update as often as necessary

  • Detailed individualized reports are sent home daily

  • Open communication with parents

  • Separate nap rooms with a crib designated for each child

  • Children are read to daily

  • Conferences held at 9 months and 1 year

  • Open door policy: parents are always welcome to visit

  • Once your infant is on table food we provide breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack


Toddler Child Care

Ages 16 months to 34 months

Enrichment Programs

Music class

Growing with Music is a developmental music program designed especially for infants, toddlers and preschoolers with a curriculum that supports the pre-kindergarten national music standards of the Music Educators National Conference. Each week are guided through thirty minutes of musical activities designed to emphasize overall development while introducing important music concepts.

The Growing With Music Instructor's training in music and child development ensures professional, effective, and enjoyable music programming for young children. All Instructors have a Bachelor of Music, Science, or Arts degree and are certified with the Certification Board for Music Therapists, Inc. or registered with the National Music Therapy Registry.

Sign language

The staff at Noah's Ark are trained in American sign language. Recent studies have found many benefits for children who learn ASl. Some of the benefits are listed below:

Promotes the development of language skills, reinforces language skills already developed, reduces frustration at not being able to express needs, increase speed of spatial reasoning development, develops understanding of language for communication of emotions, creates feelings of satisfaction and accomplishment, may increase IQ, Increases creative thinking, teaches a 2nd language that is formally and nationally recognized (ASL), reduces unexplainable emotional outbursts, Increases early literacy skills, and teaches children how to start (and participate in) a conversation.

 

Soccer Shots

A leader in youth soccer development for children ages 2-8, Soccer Shots is a nationally recognized non-competitive skills program that offers a high energy, fun, age-appropriate introduction to the wonderful game of soccer.
